Fennec Services is recruiting an experienced concreter for an immediate start on a civil project in South Brisbane. This is a medium-term, hands-on role within a small, well-organised crew working on formwork, concrete pours, finishing and retaining wall construction. The position suits a practical operator who takes pride in accurate, high-quality concrete work.

You'll need:

• Proven concreting experience on civil or infrastructure projects, including formwork, placing, vibration and finishing of concrete

• Comfortable with constructing and finishing concrete retaining walls, slabs and footings

• Skilled with hand and power tools, concrete screeds, floats and power trowels

• Ability to read basic plans, levels and set out points accurately

• Driver's licence and reliable transport to site

• Physically fit, reliable, punctual and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the construction of the base footing for large retaining walls

• Set out, form and prepare areas for concrete pours according to drawings and supervisor instructions

• Construct and strip formwork for slabs, footings and retaining walls as required

• Perform finishing tasks including edging, jointing, trowelling and curing

• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a tidy, safe condition
